    Hello support

I have just updated to WP 3.8 and then i would give AAM
a shot for one of my customers site. I installed the
new AAM 2.0 alpha 2, and it seems to work ok.
I was creating a special role for co-workers access to
private docs, and i removed unnessesary capabilities,
and hit the save button. Now i can't get access to the
backend of WP as "superadministrator". I wasn't aware
that the capabilties deletion was for all users i
thought that it was only for the "new role".
Now i can't even uninstall the plugin- and reinstall,
or anything else on the site.

Could you give me a hint to overcome this problem,
can i go to PHPmyadmin and change something to get access again?

This is what i have in the WP_options table now (_user_roles):

    a:6:{s:13:"administrator";a:2:{s:4:"name";s:13:"Administrator";s:12:"capabilities";a:7:{s:10:"edit_users";b:1;s:4:"read";b:1;s:18:"read_private_posts";b:1;s:18:"read_private_pages";b:1;s:15:"untrash_comment";i:1;s:7:"backend";b:1;s:12:"edit_plugins";b:1;}}s:6:"editor";a:2:{s:4:"name";s:6:"Editor";s:12:"capabilities";a:3:{s:4:"read";b:1;s:18:"read_private_posts";b:1;s:18:"read_private_pages";b:1;}}s:6:"author";a:2:{s:4:"name";s:6:"Author";s:12:"capabilities";a:1:{s:4:"read";b:1;}}s:11:"contributor";a:2:{s:4:"name";s:11:"Contributor";s:12:"capabilities";a:1:{s:4:"read";b:1;}}s:10:"subscriber";a:2:{s:4:"name";s:10:"Subscriber";s:12:"capabilities";a:1:{s:4:"read";b:1;}}s:21:"aamrole_52aefb0489132";a:2:{s:4:"name";s:11:"Medarbejder";s:12:"capabilities";a:0:{}}}

    Thanks in advance
    / Jakob

    Hi Jakob,
Looks like you deleted a lot of capabilities.

It is not a big problems. Replace your user_roles with next text and you should be good:
    a:6:{s:13:"administrator";a:2:{s:4:"name";s:13:"Administrator";s:12:"capabilities";a:73:{s:19:"delete_others_pages";b:1;s:19:"delete_others_posts";b:1;s:12:"delete_pages";b:1;s:12:"delete_posts";b:1;s:20:"delete_private_pages";b:1;s:20:"delete_private_posts";b:1;s:22:"delete_published_pages";b:1;s:22:"delete_published_posts";b:1;s:17:"edit_others_pages";b:1;s:17:"edit_others_posts";b:1;s:10:"edit_pages";b:1;s:14:"edit_permalink";i:1;s:10:"edit_posts";b:1;s:18:"edit_private_pages";b:1;s:18:"edit_private_posts";b:1;s:20:"edit_published_pages";b:1;s:20:"edit_published_posts";b:1;s:13:"publish_pages";b:1;s:13:"publish_posts";b:1;s:4:"read";b:1;s:18:"read_private_pages";b:1;s:18:"read_private_posts";b:1;s:15:"approve_comment";i:1;s:14:"delete_comment";i:1;s:12:"edit_comment";i:1;s:17:"moderate_comments";b:1;s:18:"quick_edit_comment";i:1;s:13:"reply_comment";i:1;s:12:"spam_comment";i:1;s:13:"trash_comment";i:1;s:17:"unapprove_comment";i:1;s:14:"unspam_comment";i:1;s:15:"untrash_comment";i:1;s:16:"activate_plugins";b:1;s:9:"add_users";b:1;s:12:"create_users";b:1;s:14:"delete_plugins";b:1;s:13:"delete_themes";b:1;s:12:"delete_users";b:1;s:14:"edit_dashboard";b:1;s:10:"edit_files";b:1;s:12:"edit_plugins";b:1;s:18:"edit_theme_options";b:1;s:11:"edit_themes";b:1;s:10:"edit_users";b:1;s:6:"export";b:1;s:6:"import";b:1;s:15:"install_plugins";b:1;s:14:"install_themes";b:1;s:10:"list_users";b:1;s:17:"manage_categories";b:1;s:12:"manage_links";b:1;s:14:"manage_options";b:1;s:13:"promote_users";b:1;s:12:"remove_users";b:1;s:13:"switch_themes";b:1;s:15:"unfiltered_html";b:1;s:17:"unfiltered_upload";b:1;s:11:"update_core";b:1;s:14:"update_plugins";b:1;s:13:"update_themes";b:1;s:12:"upload_files";b:1;s:7:"level_0";b:1;s:7:"level_1";b:1;s:8:"level_10";b:1;s:7:"level_2";b:1;s:7:"level_3";b:1;s:7:"level_4";b:1;s:7:"level_5";b:1;s:7:"level_6";b:1;s:7:"level_7";b:1;s:7:"level_8";b:1;s:7:"level_9";b:1;}}s:6:"editor";a:2:{s:4:"name";s:6:"Editor";s:12:"capabilities";a:73:{s:19:"delete_others_pages";s:1:"1";s:19:"delete_others_posts";s:1:"1";s:12:"delete_pages";s:1:"1";s:12:"delete_posts";s:1:"1";s:20:"delete_private_pages";s:1:"1";s:20:"delete_private_posts";s:1:"1";s:22:"delete_published_pages";s:1:"1";s:22:"delete_published_posts";s:1:"1";s:17:"edit_others_pages";s:1:"1";s:17:"edit_others_posts";s:1:"1";s:10:"edit_pages";s:1:"1";s:14:"edit_permalink";s:1:"1";s:10:"edit_posts";s:1:"1";s:18:"edit_private_pages";s:1:"1";s:18:"edit_private_posts";s:1:"1";s:20:"edit_published_pages";s:1:"1";s:20:"edit_published_posts";s:1:"1";s:13:"publish_pages";s:1:"1";s:13:"publish_posts";s:1:"1";s:4:"read";s:1:"1";s:18:"read_private_pages";s:1:"1";s:18:"read_private_posts";s:1:"1";s:15:"approve_comment";s:1:"1";s:14:"delete_comment";s:1:"1";s:12:"edit_comment";s:1:"1";s:17:"moderate_comments";s:1:"1";s:18:"quick_edit_comment";s:1:"1";s:13:"reply_comment";s:1:"1";s:12:"spam_comment";s:1:"1";s:13:"trash_comment";s:1:"1";s:17:"unapprove_comment";s:1:"1";s:14:"unspam_comment";s:1:"1";s:15:"untrash_comment";s:1:"1";s:16:"activate_plugins";s:1:"1";s:9:"add_users";s:1:"1";s:12:"create_users";s:1:"1";s:14:"delete_plugins";s:1:"1";s:13:"delete_themes";s:1:"1";s:12:"delete_users";s:1:"1";s:14:"edit_dashboard";s:1:"1";s:10:"edit_files";s:1:"1";s:12:"edit_plugins";s:1:"1";s:18:"edit_theme_options";s:1:"1";s:11:"edit_themes";s:1:"1";s:10:"edit_users";s:1:"1";s:6:"export";s:1:"1";s:6:"import";s:1:"1";s:15:"install_plugins";s:1:"1";s:14:"install_themes";s:1:"1";s:10:"list_users";s:1:"1";s:17:"manage_categories";s:1:"1";s:12:"manage_links";s:1:"1";s:14:"manage_options";s:1:"1";s:13:"promote_users";s:1:"1";s:12:"remove_users";s:1:"1";s:13:"switch_themes";s:1:"1";s:15:"unfiltered_html";s:1:"1";s:17:"unfiltered_upload";s:1:"1";s:11:"update_core";s:1:"1";s:14:"update_plugins";s:1:"1";s:13:"update_themes";s:1:"1";s:12:"upload_files";s:1:"1";s:7:"level_0";s:1:"1";s:7:"level_1";s:1:"1";s:8:"level_10";s:1:"1";s:7:"level_2";s:1:"1";s:7:"level_3";s:1:"1";s:7:"level_4";s:1:"1";s:7:"level_5";s:1:"1";s:7:"level_6";s:1:"1";s:7:"level_7";s:1:"1";s:7:"level_8";s:1:"1";s:7:"level_9";s:1:"1";}}s:6:"author";a:2:{s:4:"name";s:6:"Author";s:12:"capabilities";a:10:{s:12:"upload_files";b:1;s:10:"edit_posts";b:1;s:20:"edit_published_posts";b:1;s:13:"publish_posts";b:1;s:4:"read";b:1;s:7:"level_2";b:1;s:7:"level_1";b:1;s:7:"level_0";b:1;s:12:"delete_posts";b:1;s:22:"delete_published_posts";b:1;}}s:11:"contributor";a:2:{s:4:"name";s:11:"Contributor";s:12:"capabilities";a:5:{s:12:"delete_posts";s:1:"1";s:10:"edit_posts";s:1:"1";s:4:"read";s:1:"1";s:7:"level_0";s:1:"1";s:7:"level_1";s:1:"1";}}s:10:"subscriber";a:2:{s:4:"name";s:10:"Subscriber";s:12:"capabilities";a:2:{s:4:"read";b:1;s:7:"level_0";b:1;}}s:21:"aamrole_52aefb0489132";a:2:{s:4:"name";s:11:"Medarbejder";s:12:"capabilities";a:0:{}}}

    Hello Vasyl

    Thank you for quick responce.

I replaced my modified user capabilities with yours,
unfortunately it didn't solve the issue.
I just get the "access denied" with both "superadmin"
and other lower ranged user login.

Can i disable the plugin - by deleting tables belonging to AAM in the phpmyadmin?

    I see these 5 tables under WP_Options:

    15187 aam_menu_role_super_admin a:2:
    {s:9:"index.php";s:1:"0";s:11:"profile.php";s:... yes
    15188 aam_configpress 8d1479206561beb2ef7f71079632382ad19a6a23
    yes
    15189 aam_metabox_role_super_admin a:0:{} yes
    15190 aam_event_role_super_admin a:0:{} yes
    15191 aam_backup_role_super_admin a:1:{i:0;a:4:{s:4:"menu";a:0:
    {}s:10:"capability";a... yes

Will that disable the plugin, so that i can login with my usual superadmin password again - and uninstall the plugin - and try a fresh install.

    / Thanks - Jakob

    Hi again

I actually already run that script before i wrote you here - found it in the thread on the forum. This script runs fine and i get the end message that everything is uninstalled and there is something wrong with my capabilities. And i guess this means my person capability :)

But i still can't log-in to the backend what so ever.

(i just ran it again, just to se if this changes - but its the same).

I just took a complete backup with Backupbuddy, just before AAM plug-in install. It would probably be easyer to just restore to an earlyer point, but i can't seem to find out how to restore the site, when i dont have access to the admin panel, i need some tool generated from the admin panel :/

So i hope to find an alternative solution.

Anything else i can do - what about the database solution - deleting tables - is that at bad idéa?

    / Jakob
