Lost Widgets after upgrade to 2.1

I am a relative newb, so forgive me if this is a simplistic issue. I upgraded to 2.1 today and since then have not been able to find a way to access my widgets.

There is no option to choose widgets in the presentation menu.

Any ideas about how or why this has happened.

It was standard FTP replace-upgrade.

I don’t believe it is a theme issue, as I have tried 3 other widget ready themes and all lack widget menu under presentation.

I remember having to paste in some js to widgetize a non-widget theme. Do I have to do something like that here?

Oris it a problem with Ella?
