I used the ftp of my website to insall WordPress. My WordPres domain is schweidel.com/wp-admin. The domain to my other website is schweidel.com but now that address takes me to my WordPres site and I can't access my other website anymore. My web hosting company server was down for about a month, under maintenance. It is back up running now. How do I access my other website? Do I need to go to my cpanel and upload the website again? I tried that but I still get my WordPress site. Any suggestions. :(

  2. As you've found out, the web server at schweidel.com will serve out index.html or index.php, not both.

When you visit your page, the index.php gets priority.

This works and it's your old page. Nice poetry by the way.

    http://schweidel.com/index.html

This works too and is the default page you get when you visit your site.

    http://schweidel.com/index.php

If you can, rename the index.php to index-new.php and that should default back to the old page.

When you're ready to let go of that late 80's/90's page (it's got good content but man, it's dated :) ), rename the index-new.php back to index.php and enjoy WordPress goodness.

Those poems would be well served by being made into WordPress posts.
