Howdy,
We strongly encourage that you keep your WordPress site and all plugins updated as they may contain security fixes (there have been a number of them since 3.2.1).
That said, the absolute lowest version of Jetpack that is able to activate to WordPress.com is 1.9.4, which can be downloaded here http://downloads.wordpress.org/plugin/jetpack.1.9.4.zip and works with WordPress 3.2.1. You’d need to delete the current version of Jetpack and install that version via the Plugins->Add New->Upload method.
WordPress and Jetpack both aim to provide backwards-compatibility when updating, so while it should be tested, sites should generally be able to be updated with breaking.
Please note that we don’t actively provide assistance for older versions and I do strongly suggest creating a roadmap that will let you get back to the latest version of WordPress.
Cheers!
Thanks Brandon,
The upgrade to 1.9.4 went smoothly and allowed for connection. It’s not linking to the correct stats now though. It appears to have created a fresh set.
I’ve noticed others have had this issue too. Could you please make the update needed to point back to the original stats for http://www.realwireless.biz/realwireless
We’re also working on an updated version of the site using all the latest plugins without legacy issues.
Cheers,
Toby
Sure thing. I’ve merged the original set of stats back. The site was originally connected under the /dev/ subdirectory, so when trying to connect again under the “production” address, it created a new account.
If you need anything else, please let me know.
Cheers!
Hi Brandon,
We’re now migrated across to the updated site using latest version of wordpress and jetpack. Could you merge the site stats again.
Development url was rw.hostingdaemon.com (/realwireless) if that helps.
Thanks & Regards,
Toby
I’ve made the necessary changes on our end.
Could you go the Jetpack menu in your dashboard, scroll down to the bottom of the page, and click on “Disconnect from WordPress.com”? Once you’ve done so you’ll be able to reconnect to WordPress.com by clicking on the connect button at the top of the page, and all stats will then be attached to the correct site.
Great, done and all that’s there.
Thanks Jeremy
