I was messing around with file permissions on my server and I changed wp-content to 775 and being a noob I went deeper into theme premission and changed it to 664 I bleleive and plugins to 664, then went deeper because I wanted to be able to edit my theme from the WP page instead of uploading changes. Anyways I went to the specific theme and changed that and went to the index.php and changed that. As I refreshed the WP admin panel my theme disappered so I thought if i change things back it should be fixed. When I exited the level of files where my theme was I noticed ALL of my themes and plugins disappered. I tried going back to the file I was screwing around with but thats when I got this error:
You do not seem to have access permissions! (System Error: Permission denied)
HELP - I dont want to have to re-install everything all over again.....

It says this under the code:
You need to make this file writable before you can save your changes. See the Codex for more information
