Lost Multiple Tag Functionality (24 posts)

After upgrade from 2.03 to 2.04 it would seem some useful functionality was lost. Prior I could type ?tag=Christine+Davis and get all posts that referred to Christine AND to Davis. Now the same search results only in posts that refer to Christine Davis.

    I constantly was using a multiple tag search a la del.icio.us and found it quite useful. I miss it sorely. {sob}

    Hmm...

    http://www.solo-technology.com/blog/?tag=beta+google

works on my blog. I appear to be a few versions of UTW behind though... I'm at 3.0.1 and running WP 2.0.4.

Just for grins, I'll upgrade to the newest soon and see what happens.

Very interesting... I may not have gone back far enough into UTW of days gone by.

Well, I upgraded to latest/greatest. Still works...

So. Hmm. Now we wonder about your configuration.

Hmm, meanwhile I will try reverting to see if that works

Reversion to no avail. So it is my "configuration". Should I suspect K2 or look somewhere else?

That's a really good question. I've not played much with K2 -- are you current with it?

Hopefully someone else will have some ideas, I'm not really sure where to look from here.

[edit] wait: this works - http://jcwinnie.biz/wordpress/index.php?tag=advocacy+environment

Ah, maybe this is the problem.

It is not searching for UTW Tags. I tried http://jcwinnie.biz/wordpress/index.php?tag=alcohol+waste

and got the same result as with
    http://jcwinnie.biz/wordpress/?tag=alcohol+waste

and I know that I have a whole bunch of posts about cellulosic ethanol tagged with alcohol and waste

But your search gave results for category equal to advocacy or category equal to environment.

Believe me, there are many, many posts with the tag advocacy AND the tag environment, maybe 14 pages worth rather than two posts

Hm, I show 42 pages with tag=environment and 15 pages with tag=advocacy. Since most of AG advocacy is environmental, 14 pages was a good guess. Your search probably should have resulted in 15 pages of results.

Yes, am running the current version of k2. I also switched to another theme, Almost Spring, to ascertain that the problem persisted.

Ok, now the pain in the rear suggestion...

Disable other plugins. See if one of them is conflicting with your UTW.

Disabled all plug-ins used, except for UTW, without regaining previous multi-tag functionality.

I suspect it has something to do with the stripping of chararcters in functions.php, but disabling the one suspect statement failed to make a difference.

    Are you running WP 2.04?

Hm, maybe I'm not the only lonely one with such paranoid ideation, eh?

The Diva would seem to be unavailable. You know how divas are.

As Ashleigh Brilliant was known to say,

"I waited and waited and when no word came, I knew it was from you."

The Diva never bestowed her benevolence upon me; she's busy being acrobatic. Nonetheless, as I posted to her support forum:

"Hm, guess I should listen to the people who help me along the way rather than pestering the UTW support personnel. (Jes Jokin', RKD, don't slap me agin, plz)

I reverted to k2b157, an earlier, pre-SBM* verion, and lo and behold, I once again had multi-tag search functionality.

    Oh, happy, happy.

    * Before Side Bar Modules walked the bout."

So, this was before, Nybble of Ajax sat atop k2 and cried, "Show me proof." And, The People in question being Handy Solo of Mu. And, RKD == RockinKiwiDiva.

You're impossible to get a hold of, so I am resorting to this off-topic post (soory). Will you please contact me? It's about PHEV conversions.
    Thanks

I'd like to know how to do this with my own blog, http://clintjcl.wordpress.com

I have 'review' and 'lists' and I would like to multitag on that!
