If I knew what it was, I may be able to help…what’s “the kitchen sink”?

When writing a post or page in the editor, there is an icon on the toolbar twhich when clicked brings up a second row on the toolbar. This is called the kitchen sink.

The icon has disappeared. I don’t know how to get it back. There is a keyboard short cut to toggle between kitchen sink and basic, but that is doing nothing.

    Humm…learn something new everyday 😉

Did you change something before you lost it? I don’t use the RTE much, but I do see it on my site…looks like a little keyboard. Alt+Sift+Z is supposed to work.

I must have changed something. The site is in development so am changing constantly.

    The shortcut Alt+Sift+Z does nothing.

I have deactivated all of the plug-ins, but to no avail.

hmmm I have had the same problem. Try going to your profile and un-chceck the do not show visual editor. It is listed under personal

Its possible to remove the icon if you are using the tinyMCE advanced plugin, if this is the case its easy to get it back by going into Settings -> TinyMCE Advanced.

Alternatively the icon could be hidden if your browser window is too narrow to show the whole row, eg on a netbook with low resolution.
