Weaver II
Losing Center command (4 posts)

My blog uses the Weaver II theme and I like to center all graphics. I post using the text editor and use the <center></center> command for graphics.

However, something strips out these commands before the posts go live. When I preview the posts, they look fine. When they go live, the graphics are no longer centered. This is annoying for obvious reasons.

What could be doing this? I have other blogs that use other themes and none of them have this problem.

Can you use CSS to centre things instead?

I think Center HTML tags are deprecated anyway.

Yes, <center> is not supported in HTML5:

WordPress has built in CSS for centering graphics:

It seems like that's a lot more difficult than just using the <center> command, which, as I say, works in every other theme I've tried. It even works in Weaver II for the preview and then after I reinsert it after some idiotic thing removes it.

Does Weaver II remove commands that aren't supported in HTML5 after you've viewed them in the preview but before they go live? That seems deceptive to me.

I'll try using WordPress' "built-in CSS for centering graphics," but if it is not easy I'll probably just find a new theme to use instead of Weaver II.
