Lightbox looks good on mobile as well as on normal screen sizes.

However, it appears when browser is resized somewhere in between
(smaller screens, tablets, etc), the lightbox is not
responsive AND the scroll bar goes away.

    test page here

Please advise how to make responsive.

It is within a highly responsive theme- X

Thanks for your help in advance. Love the Plugin if I can make work.

  • Dynamic resizing (on viewport resize) is sadly not an option. FancyBox was not built to do that 🙁

The disappearing scroll bars, I cannot reproduce. Which browser/device are you using?

Maybe I’m just not up to speed on how it would look on smaller resolution screens, but when I reduce the size from my standard 15″ screen to say a 10 or 11″ browser screen (simply by minimizing and drawing the ends of the screen in), the second it goes past the far right of the lightbox screen, not only does the lightbox not minimize but the scroll bar disappears.

Basically, anything smaller than the actual lightbox size does not get seen on the screen. I’m hoping maybe I’m just not reproducing smaller screen size properly.

This is meant to go to a page that will have a shopping cart on it. Thus, the reason for the iFrame. So , if for example, I’ve created that page and the lightbox is say, 800 x 600px, then what is supposed to happen if the iFrame lightbox is larger than say someone’s screen size? Is it supposed to reduce automatically?

Thanks for the answers Ravan. I appreciate how responsive you are
in this forum. It’s a breath of fresh air.

By the way, this occured in Firefox, Google and Internet Explorer

Hi pchess, the iframe content frame is set the moment the lightbox is opened. If the browser viewport is then resized, the frame will keep its size. There is not much I can change about that… You’ll notice that when (after resizing the browser) you close the lightbox and then click the same link again, the frame is now reduced to fit inside the viewport again.

Please note that a 70% width of a small screen might become TOO small so if you want to disable the lightbox effect for small screen devices, see http://wordpress.org/support/topic/disable-fancybox-for-smalll-screens
