I have searched everywhere trying to find a solution for this:
I need to loop through the sub categories of a top level category. I don't want to show the posts in that category, I just want the category title (with permalink), the amount of posts in that category and a category image.
As far as I am aware, WordPress does not let you upload a category image without an external plugin (correct me if I'm wrong). So I presume I will need a plugin that will let me do this, but also let me grab that image within a loop.
I hope someone can help with this, or point me in the right direction if I am going about it in the wrong way.
