Looped or Nested URL When in Archives (4 posts)

    Hi,

Me again. I noticed that when I go into my Archives (or Categories) the URL reads like this:

    http://www.nativealien.us/http:/www.nativealien.us/index.php/archives/2005/05/09/love-finding-a-film-i-missed/

It seems to be looping or nesting itself in my directory but there is no such path in my site directory. Does anyone have an idea as to what might be happening? I am not certain if this has been occuring since the install (5/7/2005) but I just noticed it.

What does your custom permalink structure look like? Is it:

    /index.php/etc.

    or

    http://www.nativealien.us/index.php/etc.

    Good question:

It was listed in the admin panel (which is short and ego saving for I must've configured it...) as:

    http://www.nativealien.us/archives/%year%/%monthnum%/%day%/%postname%/

Looking at it now, I think it should have been just

    /%year%/%monthnum%/%day%/%postname%/

I have removed the superfluous crap at it seems to work better now. Let me know if this was the correct approach. Thanx!!! You folks have been a godsend!

It's the structure I use, so I doubt you'll run into problems with it.
