    Hi,

I'd like to make my post url's seo friendly, but could not find a plug in for this. I thought I had seen one a long time ago, but did not get it. Silly me.

    So that
    http://howtobuildahomepage.com/?p=93
    Would become
    http://howtobuildahomepage.com/?p=how_to_build_a_blog

    Thanks.
    John

    Hello jddavin!

To make your URLs SEO-friendly, a plugin is not needed, but instead, you need to change your Permalinks.

To do this, follow these steps:

    1) Log into your WordPress Admin Control Panel
    2) Click on "Settings" on the top right side
    3) Click on "Permalinks" in the second top navigation
    4) Select the kind of setting you would like. I would suggest "Day and name" or "month and name"
    5) Click on "Save Changes"

Hope that works for you. :)

    Another suggestion is to do

    1) Log into your WordPress Admin Control Panel
    2) Click on "Settings" on the top right side
    3) Click on "Permalinks" in the second top navigation
    4) select the "Custom Structure" radio button and in the empty text field directly to the write type /%postname%/
    5)Click save changes.

By doing this your url will be http://www.example.com/title-of-your-post

Now you can use your keywords in the title of your posts, which in turn when published will become your url and result in being SEO friendly.
