looking something that changes "category" long permalink

    Hi,
    I was wondering if there is a way to customize category permalink?
    For example, I have category and sub categories and current permalink would display like this

    /video/category/european/italy

    I would like to change something shorter, something like

    /italy

    Your input is appreciated, thanks
