I’m trying to find the formatting options in the WYSIWYG editor so users can identify headers within their content. I’m looking at the TinyMCE config file (/wp-includes/js/tiny_mce_config.php) and it looks like there are a whole bunch of options after the help icon that are being passed but I don’t see them in the editor as options.

Anyone else have this problem? Anyone know how I can add the formatting options to the WYSIWYG?

  • Did you try hitting alt-shift-v (Firefox) or alt-v (IE) to toggle more options.

    Try the Advanced WYSIWYG plugin.

Ah ha! It was the alt-shift-v thing.

Is there anyway to get this to display by default?

Never mind… I figured it out.

For anyone who is curious you just need to get rid of the wp_adv_start and wp_adv configuration settings in the /wp-includes/js/tinymce/tiny_mce_config.php file.

    Thanks for the help!
