   Hi,

   I am new to WordPress. I hired a company to setup my site and I have been "tweaking" it and adding content, learning on the way. I'm a bit stumped on a particular page and would rather figure it out myself than pay someone to do it.

   I have a section of my site for "how-to" articles and that is set up as a category page, there are actually two category pages. What I would like to have is a page with a static paragraph at the top and the posts below in a summary format. I don't want to use a sticky for the static information becuase it would look like a post.

   I was thinking that using a custom post type would work, but I am not sure. Is this possible? If so, what should I be looking at to set this up?

   How about using the category description?
