Most of my posts are pretty long and I'd like a plug in that cuts them with a 'read more here' tag at the bottom of the post so that a reader doesn't have to scroll for ten minutes. Have tried searching but may be using the wrong words and have seen this in other blogs.

Just use the "<!--more-->" tag anywhere within your post.

I have used this in the past and it works fine, but it is now moving the paragraph that immediately follows the quicktag to the bottom of the post and at the bottom of the post it displays the link to read more! Argh! Anyone have an idea of why this isn't working as it should?

n0nnahs - I wonder if that's a theme-specific error. Does it happen if you temporarily try the Default theme?

A link to an example of the problem may be helpful.
