I am running multisite with buddypress and am looking for a notifications plugin. Ideally I would like my users to be notified via the notification on the admin bar and email. And I need them to be set up network wide, not side wide.

    1) I need a plugin that notifies someone if they have a reply to their comment. So, if I comment on a blog and someone replies to my comment I want to be notified. I tried ReplyMe, worked great except for it doesn’t work network wide.

    2) When a user uses the @mention in a blog post the user is not receiving a notification. Is their a plugin for this?

    Thanks

Have you asked this on buddypress.com?

Yes I did. They’ve been talking about implementing it into buddypress for a few years now.

Thought maybe someone would know of a plugin here.

You’re more likely to get someone who would know of a plugin there (except for Mercime, who is the heaviest BP user on the wporg forums I know of). :/

WordPress.COM has that @-mention feature, but they’ve yet to release the code. Probably has some proprietary email stuff involved.

I did find this one: Tagged User Notification

Seems like it’s working so far. It gives the user an email notification as well as an inline notification.

I’ll do some more testing today with it.
