   Hey all,

   I'm trying to find a simple text scroll box to put in the sidebar of my WP site ... something like as seen on this page: http://www.maple-softball.allwebco.com/

   Are there any plugins out there like this?

   So I finally found WP-Marquee ... which is no longer available for download nor is it supported. Anyone have any alternatives???

   Quit bumping.
   Just use the text box widget that comes with WordPress and put in the HTML code for Marquee.

   Well, I was hoping someone would see it that has a better alternative as the HTML marquee is very limited. I'd like to have onhover stop as well as a widget editor to allow others to easily update it.

   If you know HTML and CSS, you can put it into a text box widget.

   I have been looking for this same thing, The text box widget isn't quite good enough. I need to be able to grab specific posts and place them in the sidebar in a vertical scrolling box.

   I haven't tried it yet but it looks like the perfect answer to me.
   I guess it turns out that the text widget is good enough.
