Long, troublesome, v. troubling problem Re: deleting tons of posts out of feed (1 post)

I had a WP blog several years ago. Eventually went private, wrote a bunch of stuff I felt incredibly stupid about, and decided to dump the whole thing. I deleted the blog and let the domain expire.

Two years later, I purchased the domain again. I want to start again fresh. I'm getting it all set up. I burned a feed with feedburner. Guess what showed up? All my old posts.

I mean ALL of them. Years worth, hundreds of posts--really, really stupid, embarrassing writing. I panicked. I can't start fresh if all this stuff is still available. And why is it still available?

Turns out, I never deleted the database with all the old posts in it. Had no idea there was such a thing.

My husband knows a bunch about sql and databases and everything. He went in using myphpadmin and deleted all those posts for me.

    Still there.

At least in GoogleReader. It has cache, apparently--infinite. The only way to fix it, from what we've read, is to go in and edit all those posts, using the same GUID (post id, I guess), so that the posts are blank.

Trouble? We've deleted them. No idea what the GUID's are. He has tried inserting new records into the wp_posts table and manually changing the guid to what we think they might be but no luck.

Any possibility of figuring out what the GUID's were? Will that even work, if we can do it? Any other ideas??

Any help is MUCH appreciated! Thank you!
    Kate
