Long page content disappearing (14 posts)

I recently tried to add a long page to my 3.4.2 wordpress site with about 60 images, once I get past about 40 ish images the page is displayed with a header only. I did some digging and it seemed to be the consensus that it was some type of PHP limitation with older version of wordpress. I've just upgraded to the latest version 3.7.1 and now when I get past a certain page length I get an internal server error page. I need to get this one sorted out ASAP really, any suggestions?

    Regards

    Stefan

Oh I'm running the genesis framework with the delicious child theme

I'm sorry but your research seems to have turned up the wrong answer. WordPress has no such limitation. Any limitations of this type are applied by your server - not WordPress. Try asking your hosts about this.

I did, they said it would be a wordpress thing or maybe a framework - theme thing.....:)

PHP config aside are there other known cases of this internal server error for longer pages with lots of caption and short codes?

Um - no. It's a "server thing". Possibly related to the server applying limits to $POST. Ask them to please look into this.

just to keep you updated, the host (vidahost) said they increased post_max_vars to 10000 and post_max_size is 128MB but after that the error still exists, apparently the error logs are showing something within your PHP code is causing a segmentation fault (segfault)

Does this shed any more light for you that might help me?

    Thanks again

In addition to above they also said that maybe I could try setting recursion limits and trackback limits higher in PHP but I've no clue how to do that.

They are also going to look at moving me to a different server with all the latest updates, I guess if that doesn't fix it it must be wordpress / theme/ framework / plugin related??

I'm being moved to a new server with PHP 5.3

I'll come back to you when that has happened to let you know what occurs.

Well I've been moved to PHP 5.3 on a clean install new server. But that didn't work either. Any more ideas would be gratefully received, is there maybe some sort of PHP error log I could post here that some one could decipher what is going on with?

Why are you using WP3.4.2? That's a major security risk.

I'm curious though, why you want a page with that many images in the first place - seems like not too user friendly?

We sell carpet, and it's a table with 60 - 150x150 px thumbnails in a grid, each with a colour name underneath, clicking on each open a webpage with more info about the product.
