    On some (not all) sites with site address like "http://www.website.com", and wordpress address like "http://www.website.com/wordpressdir", Nextgen may log you out when you open insert-Nextgen window on a page.

    Looks like the first GET request that causes log-out is in the format http://www.website.com/wordpressdir/wp-login.php?redirect_to=http%3A%2F%2Fwebsite.com%2Fwordpressdir%2Fwp-admin%2Fadmin.php%3Fpage%3Dnggallery-manage-album%26attach_to_post&reauth=1

    It seems this may be a memory problem. The logs fill up with "PHP Fatal error: Out of memory" errors. Do you know of any bugs that would cause memory errors? Could it be related to images with numbers for their title?

    How much memory is required for NextGen 2.0?

    Regarding the out-of-memory problems, is it possible some configuration problem is making NG load too many modules? I saw in my profiler that nggallery.php's Bootstrap->construct was taking 11.4 seconds, 6.4 seconds of which are in C_Component_Registry->load_all_products.

    Sorry if this has been documented elsewhere, but do we have an official minimum recommended memory requirement for Nextgen 2.x?

    From what I've read, min. 128M is recommended, even if 256M is better (needless to say).
    Anyway I can add that on a site of mine Nextgen runs with 64M.

    @tizz - Thanks!

    @programmin - We are constantly working to address resource usage and requirements but we still recommend a minimum PHP Memory Limit of 128 just in case (we may always recommend that minimum) but as @tizz has noted it is possible to use NextGEN Gallery with a lower limit.

    Unfortunately we cannot know every conceivable configuration or all of the plugins installed on a specific site to insure an absolute guaranteed minimum that will always work. All I can say is we will continually try to reduce the resources NextGEN Gallery needs to operate smoothly for everyone.

    - Cais.
