    hello-
I am trying to place an image in the header area in twenty twelve theme with partly success. I would like it to be centred vertical with the site title- but how??
I know it is a responsive design - could title and logo alignment 'confuse' the display?

    Thank you for helping...

Sorry, but you need to go back and create a child theme for any modifications to a default theme - as is, your changes will be overwritten when WP is updated and it's also crucial that you have an unmodified version of the default theme for troubleshooting.

I once had a logo with the Title & tagline following, and yes, there were various problems both because of "mobile first" and because IE needs its own CSS. So, I just pasted my logo onto the header image, then had someone get the Title & tagline positioned properly...and like WPyogi has mentioned, that should all be done in a Child Theme.
