    Hi
    I'm new to WordPress and I would like to add a logo to the top right hand corner of all my pages, above the menu. I know I probably have to edit the header.php file but I have no idea how to access this or what I need to do once I find it. I'm using the Pilcrow theme

    this is my site http://rachaelallanah.com/blog/

    any help would be really appreciated.
    Thanks

    First you have to put in the Site Title (under Setttings > General). Don't leave it blank, it's for accessibility and site's SEO. Then install a Custom CSS plugin and use the code below. Change url image to your logo and also the width and height dimensions.

    /*--------------------- image Logo site title replacement pilcrow theme 1.5.1---------------------*/
    #site-title a {
    	text-indent: 100%;
    	white-space: nowrap;
    	overflow: hidden;
    	display: block;
    	width: 250px; height: 50px; margin: 20px auto;
    	background: url("http://dummyimage.com/250x50/ff0000/fff.png");
    }
    @media (min-width: 600px) {
    	#site-title a {
    		float: right; margin: 20px 0;
    	}
    }
