• I’ve had a loginout function built into my site as I’ve developed it. I customized it making a change to the general template (I’m aware not the best methodology, but for the short term I’m content with it).

Everything was fine, however when I switched the site to it’s live location (i.e. index in the root as opposed to the wp folder) via settings, the log out button stopped logging the user out.

The link works to log in a user- but once logged in it will not log them out.

The site is located at http://www.enhanceontario.ca

I’ve searched high and low looking for what might be the issue here. would appreciate any thoughts (or another solution that would achieve the same result)

    Thanks

  • it shows the login to still point to the wp folder
    http://www.enhanceontario.ca/wp/?page_id=32

also, you should be able to get to admin
    http://www.enhanceontario.ca/wp/wp-admin/
    but this redirects to
    http://www.enhanceontario.ca/enhance/wp/wp-admin/

where is the /enhance coming from?

    Hi Samuel,

The only thing I can think is that for some reason the ‘/enhance’ is coming from the folder in the structure. The site is one of many hosted under one plan by godaddy, ‘/enhance/’.. would be the folder that the domain enhanceontario.ca points too.

It does point you correctly to the admin once you are logged in, but until that point, it adds the enhance in there.

I’m thinking that the issue could be a result of the site_url. Everything else on the site adjusted properly when I made the changeover, however perhaps that didn’t. (i.e. still includes the ‘/wp’) Would that make sense?

    Thanks
