Hi Guys.
I have a URGENT issue that I need help with.
I have a site with over 700 users and without changing anything, they can all login to each others account using any password. We have not updated anything for the last 3-4 weeks and the problem wasnt there a week ago.
So any user can type in "admin" and write any password they like, without getting denied access.
Any ideas? - This is really messing up our site.
Have you tried:
- deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).
- switching to the Twenty Eleven theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.
- resetting the plugins folder by FTP or PhpMyAdmin. Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.
- re-uploading the wp-admin and wp-includes folders from a fresh download of WordPress.

Havent tried that yet, as we have plugins that are controlling 700 users and 5 types of access to data.
This would be a MAJOR cleanup, so im hoping to hear some magical trick.
Thanks tho - will keep it in mind. Apreciate it...
I recall seeing a topic on this forum about a week or so ago where a similar issue was experienced & it turned out to be a plugin issue. I'm afraid I cannot recall the name of the plugin causin the issue in that instance, but esmi's troubleshooting steps will help.

Will deactivating plugins make them reset all their options?
It shouldn't but you may want to make a note (or take a screenshot of) any plugin settings just in case.

Its just really odd, that the error occurs 3-4 weeks after a plugin update (and more than 2 months since last applying one)
