• Forgive me in advance for being a novice, I have just begun to learn WordPress. My site is at frenchgardenfarm.com/dev.

I installed the login widget in the lower right footer in order to control access to the order page in my site. Here are my issues:

    1) The login widget does not display anything in the place of characters typed into the password field. This means that the user has no feedback that the characters they have typed have been entered. This is especially problematic when the password is recalled by the system. It is in the field, but the user believes the field to be blank and therefore starts typing only to add to the password.

    2) When the login is accepted, the system displays a 404 error Page Not Found. When I look at the URL that has been entered into the browser, it says ‘frenchgardenfarm.com/dev/dev/’

I read though all of the posts on 404 errors, but am unfortunately not savvy enough to get what is causing this or what the cure is. If you want to try this on my site, use the user name ‘Joan Marler’ and the password ‘joanmarler1946’

    Thanks for any help!!!

Wierd! I checked the ‘check remember’ property on the login widget and the characters in the password started working.
So now I only have the 404 problem.
