    Putting this question out there, wondering if any gurus can point me in the right direction. I have a site that I want users to be able to register for, as well as log in, without ever seeing the actual WordPress admin area. Is this possible, and if so, how would I go about it?

    Use a plugin to change the redirect after they login:

    function ds_my_login_page_redirect() {
    	$redirect = 'http://I_have_a_site_that_I_want_users_to_be_able_to_register_for.com';
    	$page = get_option( 'siteurl' ) . '/wp-login.php?redirect_to=' . $redirect;
    	return $page;
    }
    add_filter( 'login_url', 'ds_my_login_page_redirect' );

    These two plugins work very well together to;

    a) direct users where you want them to go after login based on their user role or user name and
    b) removing all but their user profile (at the subscriber level) if they do go to the dashboard.
