   So I've tried to copy a website I coded (no theme modification, from scratch) from here http://thegraphicsgarden.org/sharedvows/sunshine to here http://thegraphicsgarden.org/sharedvows/subdomains/sunshine.

   I zipped the relevant files from the initial site and unzipped in the new destination folder and created the database and transfered over the old database as well. My homepage is fine in the new location but I get 404 error for subpages and when I attempt to login it just refreshes the page and goes nowhere.

   I've been through the forums looking for and trying solutions and have nothing to show for it but a headache. *I went through the suggested checklist...

   Anyone got an idea of what's going on here? Version 3.2.1

   I just had a similar problem. My homepage was fine, but subpages loaded with a generic 404 (not even my WP 404, but the generic 'empty domain' kind).

   Try resaving your permalink settings. Seems simple enough, but it solved the problem.
