Lately, I have been getting a lot of obvious bots signing up. Their usernames are random alpha-characters, and their email addresses, so far, have been [whatever]@[domain].info. Here's the latest, extra space removed:
---------------------------------------------
New user registration on your blog [my blog]:
Username: frkksptn
E-mail: fkfxbsdpw@obdolbin.info
---------------------------------------------
I've been deleting them on a case-by-case basis, but the rate of registrations is increasing. Are there any plans to add image verification (or something) to the registration process?
here is a plugin for combatting spammy emails during registration on a domain by domain basis. Note that you can block all .info domains if you like.

Try this plugin:

You may also want to review the Captcha Plugin page for anything else that you can try:
http://codex.wordpress.org/Plugins/Spam_Tools#Captcha
Please also remember that there's a lot of evidence that Captcha's don't work for a number of reasons (ie vision issues, broken proxies, machines can read them anyway, piss your visitors off, etc.)
Good luck,

Thanks! I hope an "official" fix will make it into the works...
