   Sorry,

   I know that this is a very mentioned problem but I can't solve. I looked almost every post about but no way!
   It's my first WP installation.

   The problem is that I can't access to my dashboard.

   After login it brings me back to login page with this url
   http://www.leottasrl.it/wordpress/wp-login.php?redirect_to=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.leottasrl.it%2Fwordpress%2Fwp-admin%2Findex.php

   Info's about:
   - Fresh new installation
   - Hosted by a Italian "www.hostingsolutions.it" provider on a windows environment with MySQL: 5.0.91-community-log and PHP 5.X (WordPress certified)
   - Installed into a subdirectory "www.leottasrl.it/wordpress" it's works.

   I tried mostly every fix or workaround, such as:

   - also checked directly into mysql tables for correct url and correct password.

   No way to solve.

   Can anybody help me....Thank you very much.

   If I go to your site, I see this:

   Sembra mancare un file wp-config.php. Questo file è necessario per poter iniziare. Serve aiuto? Eccolo. È possibile creare un file wp-config.php tramite una interfaccia web, ma non funziona con tutte le configurazioni dei server. La strada più sicura è quella di creare manualmente il file.

   You need to fix that first. What did you do to your wp-config.php file?

   Just because a was re.installing it again.
   now it's ok.
   Config.php is created and main page is working.
   if you need password i can give it to you.

   If you can help me please try again.

   First, dump your browser cache, and delete the cookies for your site.

   Then try to reset the password. See if it emails it to you.

   thanks for your help,
   I am using chrome and IE9
   I wasted cache and cookies (all of them)
   Request password clear... ok... email received.
   password changed.
   try to login... no way. always same login page with this URL:
   http://www.leottasrl.it/wordpress/wp-login.php?redirect_to=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.leottasrl.it%2Fwordpress%2Fwp-admin%2Findex.php&reauth=1

   Thanks for you help.

   I don't know if it's help but I read about some issue on IIS server with "site redirect" but i am a newbie and can't manage this.

   It could be IIS, and sadly, I didn't think that Windows meant IIS (sometimes you still have apache running). You may need to ask your webhost for help. :/

   Ipstenu, thanks, I already asked to hosting tech support and waiting for them to reply.

   Indeed I tried to install joomla too.... installation was ok but same admin log-in problem... :-(

   If I get to a solution I will publish.

   If two webapps are doing it, then something's wrong on the server. :(

    Hosting guys told me everything looks good and other WP are working good on the same server ... so they advice to try reinstall.

    I did it.. with version 3.1.2 no way.

    so i tried version 2.9 and was ok.... incredible was ok.
    I could enter to dashboard.
    Now i am trying 3.05 and looks ok....

    I am afraid to upgrade.... what should I do?

    Upgrade :)

    Maybe you just installed it wrong.

    OR maybe your host has a really old version of PHP going on. What version are you running?
