Is there anyone with WinXP that can succesfully log in to wordpress? Seems like there's a few of us with WinXP who are having problems. Just wondering if I should persevere with finding a solution or whether XP and word press just don't mix ( which seems rather oddd)
I'm just getting into to PHP programming and thought that word press would be a great way to learn by example - but solving this login problem (incorrect password error message) is way beyond my expertise at this stage .
Any ideas anyone? ? ?
I use XP on one of my computers with no problem, no SP2 though.
No problems at all on XP, with either Firefox or IE6.
If you're getting a message saying your password is incorrect, then, err, the most likely reason is that your password is indeed incorrect.
You can reset your password using Podz's instructions here:

If that doesn't help, please post back with more details.
Here is a better question. Are you using a server with XP? Very few people are having trouble logging on with XP or other operating systems on their computer. The login process is mostly handled by the web browser not the operating system.
Are you using Internet Explorer or FireFox? Do you have ad blocker or any popup or advertising supression software installed? Any filters or blockers? Firewall?
Look at what you might be using on your system that interfers with your ability to access the Internet and web pages first.
I don't think is XP related. It has to be something with your IIS server's settings - as stated in your earlier post:
