login not posible after restoring database back up

i installed wordpress in local host, in xampp. its working. when i restored my database backup through phpmyadmin, it asked for upgrade then login. i m giving right username and password, they worked before backup restoring but now showing as invalid username. even email id for getting new password is also not yeilding, its also showing as no such email or username registered.
