Login No longer works?!? (7 posts)

    First off, let me start out by saying I am very new to this. I started my wordpress site a few weeks ago - for some reason when I went to the site today and tried to login it is says "ERROR: The password you entered for the username XXX is incorrect. Lost your password?" When I click on "Lost your password" and type my email address it says "ERROR: There is no user registered with that email address." When I use my username it never sends me a password. I know for 100% certainty what my user name was and which email I used. Does anyone know what is happening, how to solve it, or how to get back into my site :S

    In your site footer:

    Get a free blog at WordPress.com

    You're using the WordPress.COM version of the Black Letterhead Theme, which means that you're almost certainly using the hosted blogging service WordPress.COM.

    If that is the case, then you have the wrong support forum. This forum is for self-hosted WordPress. Try WordPress.com Support.

    I am also pretty sure that I wasnt using wordpress.com. I had purchased a theme from themeforest and had it uploaded at one point, but then switched to the black theme, until I figured out how to use the theme I just purchased. It is my understanding that I would have had to have wordpress.org to upload and use a theme? My domain name and hosting are all with Dreamhost which was one that was recommended on the wordpress.org site.

    Hmm, okay then... :)

    Can you login to your Dreamhost hosting account? If so, can you view the database structure, i.e. via MyPHPAdmin? You'll need to check the wp_users table, to ensure that your username, password hash, and email are all correct.

    I cannot log on my WP-admin neigther
    Their not accepting my username and password soo I click on the lost password options and then when I put my email that message appear

    I have the same message

    ERROR: There is no user registered with that email address.

    How can I log in in my wp-admin now???
