   Whenever I login to my admin account, instead of going to the dashboard, I am now taken straight to the front page of my sight.

   I am obviously logged in, because there is now an edit link beside each post. If I click this link, it takes me into the administrator interface and I can then go to everything I need, but seems like I shouldn't have to do that everytime.

   Thanks for the help!!

   Are you logging in by going to http://www.yoursite.com/wp-admin/ ?

   Disable your plugins and switch to your default theme. If it starts working again, see if you can narrow down the problem to a specific thing by reactivating them one by one.
