Login Arrangement

Site is bentmoose.com Logged in or not should see same things except under Members. Used User Status Shortcode plugin to show separate texts for logged=in or -out users in Members. Want to put login with the -out text. When logged-in want user to be able to see private info and download applications. Tried Front End Login plugin and blew the whole site. Can I do what I want? (A neophyte as always!)
