It would be very helpful if WP logs more details about reasons to display message "You do not have sufficient permissions to access this page".

By looking for a solution I found out that there are quite numerous help requests regarding this error message, that there are lots of possible reasons for it to show up, and there are no clues to help finding out what caused it.

Simple log that shows why permission check failed would be very helpful to help narrow the cause of the error.

    Here you go:

Start adding what you've found and we'll publish that to the Main namespace in Codex once you've got some entries.

I think you misunderstood me. I did not mean that peopel who meet problem with Permissions have to write down their experiences. Google shows that they already do that, but all of them have problems because they cannot actually trace the problem, as everything they get from WordPress application is that uninformative message. So any attempt to solve a problem is pure guessing in a dark.

I meant, WordPress application should be able to write log file where it would put enough clues why "You do not have sufficient permissions to access this page" occurred. It may write down what exact permission user do not have, and which part of application decided to deny access. In many cases, some plugins produce this problem, so it should be possible that WordPress logs what plugin exactly is cause for access denial.
