   I am a total newbie to building a website in general so please be gentle with me. I have searched but cannot find a topic solution.

   I have loaded Worpress onto my cpanel using Fantastico and it works. When I get to my WordPress page I cannot log in as I do not have my username and password. I type in the ones I wrote down but they are apparently incorrect. I have tried to reset a password but none of my e-mail addresses are registered, but I am sure that I put one of them in the settings.

   Can I uninstall Worpress via Fantastico and then reinstall. If I do so will it remove the previous password, username and e-mail address that I registered?

   Or is there a way of retreiving this information so that I can log in to use my template?

   I tempted fate by uninstalling Worpdress and reinstalling and can now get in. No need for an answer. Thank you.

   You can change the password via the database using PHPMyAdmin. Uninstalling WP through fantastico and re-installing it will work. Just remember doing so will remove any content you may have already created.

   Also, when using fantastico, it will prompt you to email your admin details to an email address you specify. I would suggest doing this so you'll always have the info handy.
