I am using wordpress 3.0.1 in combination with phpbb3, integrated by WP-United.
I've got this issue that users who registrered with wp-united can't comment on articles because they 'need to be logged in' - while they are obviously logged in. When I go to the WordPress Dashboard > Users > Users, there are only 3 users listed, while a lot more are registered on phpbb (those 3 users CAN post a comment). Did something go wrong in the installation? Please help me.
try (if not already tried):
-deactivating ALL plugins temporarily to narrow down and possibly fix the problem. If the problem goes away, activate them individually to find the culprit.
-switching to the default theme ("twentyten") for a moment by renaming your current theme's folder in wp-content/themes. The idea is to force WordPress to fall back to the default theme to rule out any theme-specific issue.

Thanks for your suggestions, but none of them worked. I think the problem is that wp-united simply does not create a wordpress user when someone registers on phpbb...
