If someone tries to enter on a 404 page for many times, he must see a white page with "error" written on the top-left corner when he accesses any page.

My issue is that when somebody is lockout, still can see many pages from my site. He can't see 404, admin and some random pages.

Hello, I'm an user of Better WP Security. So far, I don't have any issue with this plugin.

Can you post your website address here. I will manually generate 404 errors on your site and see what's your problem.

Hello, I tested your website, I think it's working correctly. I'm from Indonesia, I generated many 404 errors by typing the pages that you don't have.

    The messages it show was:

Se pare ca rezultatul a dat cu minus. Foloseste de urgenta "Cauta..."!

But after about 10 errors, it said:

    error

Everything is working correctly, I think. Can you explain more detail your problem?

That is true, but if you were presented with the message "error" and you click the "back" button (from browser), you will see that all the pages of the site are shown properly. Shouldn't I be banned from entering any of the pages (home or other existing pages)? I don't understand why am I allowed to see the website although I tried to access many times pages that do not exist.
    Thank you!

    Confirmed.

On your site, after the 404 error occurs, the user still can access your website by using valid URL (homepage for example).

Strange is, I tried it on my website, the issue won't happened.

I think there maybe caused by some uncompatible plugins. Do you use any caching plugin? My suggestion is to try to disable all plugins but one-by-one to find out which is the problem.
