I added a widget to my blog and they all locked down in protest. Now I can neither open a widget, delete one, relocate one or ANYTHING, and I depend on this blog for work so I'm panicking a bit.
I've tried different browsers and the widgets are locked in all of them. Sobs.

A bit of an extreme measure ...
FTP to your web site. Go to the ../wp-content/plugins/ folder and remove the last plugin you installed. Providing there are no other issues at hand, this should take your blog functionality back to the point prior to adding the widget that may have caused the issue.
