I would like to lock the drop down in some of the menus so the side wont open if someone clicks on it. For example: I don´t want the menu Accommodation to open, neither City accomodation and so on. Is this possible and if thats the case, how do I do it?

    Thanks in advance

  • Use a custom menu and leave the URL field empty.

    Hello theZedt!

And thank you for the answer. Purhaps I’m not good enough in English, (I’m from Sweden), but your answer didn’t help me. And I think it’s because of me, that I can’t explain my problem good enough. I would like the menu Accomodation to be shown, but if someone clicks on the menu it would only show what’s under the title, not open the real side, because there isn’t any text in it. I don’t have the option to choose a URL field when I’m in the Menus so right now I don’t know how to solv this.

    Hello Pulpur.

Beautifull site you have; makes me want to travel 🙂
I noticed your problem is not solved yet; a klik on the tab ‘accomodations’ still links to an empty page. I have just created a custom menu myself, and I think I might know how to solve it.

You do have to make a custom menu (go to the menu’s page, klick ‘add a menu’, then tick all the pages and klick ‘add to menu’. You might have to rearrange the pages by dragging the sub-pages a bit to the right of the main pages).

When all the pages are in the menu, you can change the behaviour of the tabs, for instance the tab ‘accomodation’. On the right side of the ‘accomodation’-menu item, klick on the little downward arrow to show the details. Leave everything as it is, but remove the input in the URL-field. Scroll down, set this menu as your primay navigation and save it. That should work!

    Hello Bostekst!

Thank you for your response! I think that I have made something wrong when I created pages in my theme (Mantra) because I don’t have any field for the URL when I click on the little downward arrow. When I find out about that I will try your tip because I think it will work!

    Hi Pulpur.

A work around for that: in you custom menu, remove all the pages and insert them again. It’s probably nog the official way, but hat worked for me when I had no url fields.

You need to use Links not Pages if you want to get the URL field.
