[resolved] Lock certain single posts (4 posts)

Hi, I am wondering if there is a way to lock certain posts from other editors editing the posts. It seems that I already locked all the 'pages' but strangely, I don't remember how I did it. So I would like to know how I did that too :( I know that there is a plugin but it is not free, I would like a free way to do this.

Does anyone know how to lock certain posts and also pages?

Have a look at some of the role management/scoper/restriction plugins. There are quite a few that are free - such as http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/role-scoper/

Thanks esmi! That plugin works really good!

At some point in time following the initial post I want to be able to edit it in such a way that the edited portion will be hidden from unauthorized readers. Will role-scoper work for this or is there a more suitable alternative?
