Localize the pagination URL

    Hey there.
    I’m running a localized (italian) version of WP 2.5, and when I print the pagination links at the bottom of my home page (“Next” and “Prev”), I get the following url:

    http://myhost.com/page/#pagenum#

    Now, the italian for “page” is “pagina”, so I was wondering, is there a way to convert the URL to a new one with the non-english term somehow?
