• I was working on a wordpress site on someones computer by using Bitnami on windows, and wanted to transfer it to my own computer. Instead of looking up instructions, I copied the Bitnami install folder from their computer onto a flash drive, installed Bitnami on my computer, and tried to replace the files. That didn’t work.

I looked up afterwards that I should have exported the site, but now its too late for that. Is there a way for me to still access the site I have on my flash drive? It does use an older version of wordpress, in case that matters (I just dont know which, or how to figure it out).

  • Hi rquraishi,

Although all of the files are on your flash drive, unless you have the database on your flash drive you wont be able to access the site as it was on the other computer. If you do have the database let me know and I can give you the steps on how to sort your problem out.

    Hi Sunny,

I don’t know how or where I would access the database. I imagine it would be somewhere in the bitnami install directory. I was able to receive an export file from the other computer though, and so was able to fix the problem.

    Thank You!
