    Hello fellas,
I got a small problem after installing wordpress on my local host.

when i look at a page - for example http://localhost:8888/mysite.org/?p=1 i can see it.
BUT when i just do http://localhost:8888/mysite.com I get "can't establish a connection to the server at localhost."

Don't really understand why is this happening.

What do you have on your local host - a .org extension or .com ext?

well, it's just to make it comfortable, it's the name of the library.
I've tried without it, it doesn't really matter.
Still have the problem with or without

OK I managed to do it, but it was just because i installed BitNami instead of MAMP. So the current problem is this:

I can see the site's WP-ADMIN and do things in it BUT I cannot view the front end. whenever I try i get:

can't establish a connection to the server at 127.0.0.1.

or if i try to view a post i get

The requested URL /site/2013/02/13/idho_global/ was not found on this server.

    OK Solved!
In the wp_options the siteurl & home were not set to localhost !
    fixed.
