   you could use http://www.shearersoftware.com/software/web-tools/wordpress-rss-import/
   to import all entries from the main wp site
   it wont be an exact mirror, in the database, but almost there...
   or
   you could dump the table and import it into the local mysql and copy over the wp files, and try to get everything to work together, after changing the blog url, site name etc...

   2 years old I know, just kicking it out of the "no-replies" section.. It still *might be* useful ya know.. =P
