I am unable to load a .zip theme file to my WordPress site. I have tried the basic trouble shooting & every time I try to upload the .zip file I get a message that says, "Are you sure you want to do that?" with a hyperlink that says, "Please try again." Why am I receiving this WordPress error when trying to upload a simple .zip theme file?

Make sure the zip file you are uploading is actually a properly structure theme zip file. I.e. isn’t a zip file that includes the theme folder along with lots of other things like psd file etc.
Maybe try uploading the theme via an FTP client. See http://codex.wordpress.org/Using_Themes
