    Hello all,

the loading order of the ads is *very* important. I got three ads:
    1.) Sidebar
    2.) 4th paragraph in content
3.) manual 2nd ad in content

Now the display order in my html source code suggests the following order:
    1.) 4th paragraph in content
2.) (if exists) manual 2nd add in content
    3.) Sidebar

But then Adsense tells me, the most expensive (CPC) ad is the sidebar ad. Which is confusing, because Google says the first displayed ad according to the source code is the best paid one.
On the other hand, the sidebar is 250×250, and the other in-content-ads are small banners.

Is it an issue with the loading order, or the ad size, or both? I’m happy about any feedback!

  • I believe the ad size & position is more important than the loading order. The Ad size & position will attract attention of the viewers & hence make them to click the ad… It’s my personal opinion, no offense.

    Hi Philip,

    thanks for your reply.
Google says: “he higher an AD appears on a page (again, in the HTML not the visible part of the page), the more that AD is worth.”

That means you are right – it depends solely on visibility.

    Thanks for clarifying.
