Loading image from uploads folder very slow

    It’s the .htaccess file! Simply renaming .htaccess in the WordPress root leads to nomal load times of the image from the uploads folder. What’s going on here?

    I’m having a similar problem with a WordPress MU site. Did you ever figure it out?
