• Whilst attempting a domain migration, I made some mistakes and things got messy on my original domain. I have now wiped that domain and added a fresh install of WordPress, so I can try again. I made sure to keep the backup files I had created. I installed Move and the backup files on the fresh WordPress. When I use the Migration Tool to restore the files, I get a ‘success’ message but it doesn’t seem like anything has changed. I’m still looking at the default WordPress page.

Are there any extra steps I need to take to get my backups working on a fresh install of WordPress?

I should also point out that I can see there is plenty of content in my backup zips.

Me, too – same situation. I’m not sure what I’m supposed to do to make it “happen.” Let me know if you figure something out. Thanks!
